Uses During the Fate of the Gods quest to it is used identify the faint Mah wisps so that they can be harvested.

After the quest it can be used to spawn the four Elder Chronicles, their locations are as follows:
  • The chronicle for Jas is found by the archaeologists' camp on the cliffs north of the desert swamp.
  • The chronicle for Ful is found outside the entrance to the TzHaar city on the volcano.
  • The chronicle for Wen is found on Ice Mountain near the Oracle.
  • The chronicle for Bik is found near The Sleeper (the submerged statue) off the northwestern coast of Entrana.
Notes Should you lose the Measure it will be returned to the Elder Halls on Freneskae. Despite the right-click > destroy option, if you attempt to destroy it you get a message saying it cannot be destroyed so easily and it instead asks if you wish to return it to Freneskae's Elder Halls.
